Pat and Lee show the same survey of kids on two line plots. On Pat's plot each X stands for $3$ kids; on Lee's plot each X stands for $2$ kids. Every stack on both plots uses whole X's only. Lee's plot has $12$ more X's than Pat's plot. How many kids took the survey?
