Line Plots · Hard problem

Sam cut some pieces of rope and made a line plot of their lengths, in feet. Above $\dfrac{1}{8}$ there are $4$ X's, above $\dfrac{1}{4}$ there are $3$ X's, above $\dfrac{1}{2}$ there are $2$ X's, and above $\dfrac{3}{4}$ there are $2$ X's. He needs $5$ feet of rope in all for a project. How many more feet of rope does he need? Give your answer as a fraction.
