A bar graph has four bars, A, B, C and D, each a whole number tall. Bars A and B together are $13$ tall. Bars B and C together are $15$ tall. Bars C and D together are $12$ tall. Bars A and D together are $10$ tall. Bar C is $9$ tall. How tall is bar A?
