A line plot shows the scores of $5$ players. The highest score and the lowest score each have only one X. The range of all $5$ scores is $10$. If the highest score is crossed off, the range becomes $7$. If instead the lowest score is crossed off, the range becomes $8$. What is the range of the $3$ middle scores?
