Sam writes down numbers one at a time. After he writes each number, the mean of all the numbers he has written so far is equal to how many numbers he has written. (So after $1$ number the mean is $1$, after $2$ numbers the mean is $2$, and so on.) What is the $10$th number Sam writes?
