Two independent thrusters push a satellite: firing thruster AA for xx seconds contributes a displacement of xax\mathbf a, and firing thruster BB for yy seconds contributes yby\mathbf b, where a=(1,2,−1)\mathbf a = (1,2,-1) and b=(2,−1,3)\mathbf b = (2,-1,3) (components in km, one km per second of firing). Mission control needs a net displacement of exactly 88 km in the xx-direction and 11 km in the yy-direction. Firing both thrusters for the needed durations also produces some displacement kk km in the zz-direction, whether mission control wants it or not. Find kk.
