A square card is painted in two steps. First the left $\dfrac{2}{3}$ of the card is painted red. Then the bottom $\dfrac{3}{4}$ of the card is painted blue. Where the two colors overlap, the card turns purple. What fraction of the card ends up painted with exactly one color, either only red or only blue?
