Two sensors report lim⁡x→5f(x)=a\displaystyle\lim_{x\to5}f(x)=a and lim⁡x→5g(x)=b\displaystyle\lim_{x\to5}g(x)=b for unknown numbers a<ba<b, but a technician only recorded the combined readings lim⁡x→5(f(x)+g(x))=10\displaystyle\lim_{x\to5}\bigl(f(x)+g(x)\bigr)=10 and lim⁡x→5(f(x)⋅g(x))=24\displaystyle\lim_{x\to5}\bigl(f(x)\cdot g(x)\bigr)=24. Can aa and bb still be pinned down separately from this? Find b−ab-a.
