Let $A_k$ be the $6\times 6$ matrix with every diagonal entry equal to $k$, every entry directly above or below the diagonal equal to $1$, and all other entries $0$. There are exactly six real numbers $k$ for which $A_k$ is singular. Find the sum of their squares.
