A nonabelian group has order $16$ and $|Z(G)|=2$. Every noncentral conjugacy class has the same size $k$, and by the $p$-group theorem $k$ must itself be a power of $2$ greater than $1$. How many noncentral conjugacy classes does $G$ have?
