A power-series solution of y′′+x3y=0y'' + x^3y = 0 is built about x0=0x_0=0. Because the coefficient of y′′y'' is just the constant 11 (never zero), the ordinary-point theorem guarantees convergence of the series for every real xx — an infinite radius of convergence, however complicated x3x^3 is. Which of these correctly explains why?
