A triangle has corners $A = (0, 0)$, $B = (12, 0)$ and $C = (0, 9)$. A point $P$ inside it is joined to all three corners, which cuts the big triangle into three smaller triangles with equal areas. If $P = (x, y)$, what is $x + y$?
