Mr. Ruiz makes a pile no taller than 5 inches. First he stacks 4 books, each $\dfrac{3}{4}$ of an inch thick. Then he adds notebooks that are each $\dfrac{5}{8}$ of an inch thick. How many notebooks can he add at most?
